The PA Trust Life Insurance Program, managed exclusively by EHD, originated in the 1980’s as a pooled Group Life Insurance plan for School Districts in the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit. Today, the PA Trust program provides Group Life and AD&D coverage to dozens of Public School Districts throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and has been endorsed by PASBO since 2017.
Each participating District receives their own Policy underwritten with their own distinct coverage levels, however all participants benefit from a common rate and renewal date (July 1). The coverage is currently provided by Reliance Standard Life and all premiums and claims are administered by the PA Trust.

In addition to the PA Trust Group Life/ADD program, districts may purchase Long Term Disability coverage and Voluntary Life/ADD for their employees, spouses, and dependents outside of the Trust.
