Lancaster-based insurance brokerage EHD hosted its 9th annual Cornhole Tournament on August 15th, 2024, at its Corporate Headquarters, which benefitted The Lancaster County Career and Technology Center Foundation. This year’s tournament raised $43,000, in large part to the sponsorship of Travelers Insurance, Donegal, Strategic Benefit Resources, EMC Insurance, Capital Blue Cross, and Benecon among 22 other carrier and vendor partners.

The tournament is organized each year by EHD employees and both employees and colleagues from insurance carriers and partner organizations participate as players and spectators.

EHD President and CEO Mike Malinowski said, “’EHD is strongly committed to helping our local communities across the Commonwealth. Our annual cornhole tournament is just another way we want to help support those organizations that provide vital resources to our community like the services provided by the Lancaster County Career and Technology Foundation. While we have great passion for the professional services we provide to companies, it is great to give back and we are proud that this event alone through the years has raised over $300,000 to groups in Lancaster County.”

This year’s event featured local food trucks and entertainment including Penny’s ice cream, Lancaster Burger and Skip’s Food Truck, in addition to 50/50 and multiple raffles, a DJ and gameplay.

Over the past ten years, the tournament has raised over $300,000 to benefit local causes such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, The Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster and the Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County.
