On May 24th, 2021, insurance broker Engle-Hambright & Davies, Inc. (EHD) announced the retirement of Chairman and CEO Jon Miles, which will take effect on August 7th, 2021, and the transition of Michael Malinowski, now President and COO to President and CEO. Miles will continue to serve the Board of Directors as Chairman. EHD implemented its initial transition plan on January 1st, 2020, which included Malinowski’s promotion to President and announced Miles’ impending retirement.
Jon Miles has been with EHD for 24 years and in the insurance industry for 41. He worked for The PMA Insurance Company first, eventually rising to a Senior Executive position there as Vice President of Marketing and Agency Operations. He joined EHD in 1997 and has served the company previously as Vice President/Branch Manager, Regional Vice President, Shareholder, President and Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Executive Officer before assuming his current responsibilities. Miles has served his communities in many professional and non-profit community organizations over the years, including, but not limited to: The Boy Scouts of America, Lancaster Boys & Girls Club, Lancaster Chamber of Commerce, and Greater Reading Economic Partnership.
Miles expressed his excitement, and pride, for the change, “It has been an honor and privilege to serve EHD as CEO, and I’m so appreciative of our caring and committed employees.
