On September 30th, 2019 Lancaster-based insurance broker Engle-Hambright & Davies, Inc. (EHD) announced a wide-ranging executive transition and succession plan, which will be effective January 1, 2020. These plans are designed to gracefully transition the leadership of the company, and to do so internally. This is in light of Chairman, President and CEO Jon Miles’ planned retirement from operational duties in the Fall of 2021.
Effective January 1, 2020, Jon will become Chairman and CEO of EHD and will be replaced as President by Mike Malinowski, who will also assume the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mike will also join EHD’s Board of Directors as Vice Chairman in January, 2020. Malinowski joined EHD in 2005 and was most recently the Vice President of EHD’s Wyomissing Branch Office.
Regarding other related changes to the Senior Management group, Leanne Gorsuch will become Executive Vice President and CFO, Jim Lewis will continue as Executive Vice President and will also assume the role of Chief Sales Officer and Scott Radcliffe will continue as Executive Vice President and will also assume the role of Chief Business Development Officer.
Additional promotions and management changes will be announced at a later date.
Of the changes, Miles said, “I’m excited to pass the company on to a strong leader from the next generation to navigate the company through the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for EHD. We will also manage this transition and succession plan while continuing to focus on our most important constituents- our clients, colleagues and community.”
