On July 23, EHD, in conjunction with ADP and RKL, held an educational seminar on the IRS Reporting requirements imposed on Applicable Large Employers as of January 2016. The reporting obligations are a part of the Affordable Care Act and are usually referenced as 6055/6056 or 1095 reporting requirements. Over 120 people attended the seminar, from various locations and industries ranging from construction to hospitality. EHD received positive feedback from the seminar, with employers indicating that they found the information to be concise, helpful, and armed them with the “next steps” that they needed to prepare for the reporting requirements.
“While we understand that this topic can be pretty dry, we know that it’s important information. Employers need to be paying attention to this now so that they are prepared for January 2016”, says Scott Radcliffe, Executive Vice President of EHD and co-presenter at the seminar. He adds, “While we suspected that there was a need for the information, the high attendance at our seminar confirmed that there is a lot of confusion out there. Employers needed it broken down in to digestible steps, and, based on our seminar feedback, we believe that we accomplished this.”
If you would like more information regarding the presentation, or would like to have EHD meet with you to discuss how you can best be prepared to report, please feel free to contact Scott Radcliffe at 717.390.4329 or skradcliffe@ehd-ins.com.
